Swarovski Glasses: A Buyer’s Guide

Glasses Store Editorial Team | 31 October 2026

Quick answer: Swarovski glasses are designer frames from the Austrian crystal brand, recognisable by their crystal accents and Swarovski branding on the arms. At Glasses Store, our Swarovski range includes acetate and metal frames for women, each with crystal details at the hinges. All of them can be fitted with single vision, varifocal or bifocal prescription lenses, or used as prescription sunglasses. When choosing a pair, think about your face shape, frame size and material.

If you like your glasses to have a touch of sparkle without looking over the top, Swarovski frames are worth a look. This guide covers the brand’s background, what makes its glasses distinctive, the frames we stock and how to choose the right pair for you.

About Swarovski

An Austrian Crystal Brand Since 1895

Swarovski was founded in Austria in 1895 by Daniel Swarovski. The brand became known around the world for precision-cut crystal, and its crystals are still cut in Wattens, in the Austrian Tyrol.

Swarovski Eyewear Today

Like many fashion and luxury brands, Swarovski works with a specialist eyewear company to make its glasses. In late 2022, Swarovski signed a licensing agreement with EssilorLuxottica, the eyewear group behind brands including Ray-Ban and Oakley, to produce Swarovski eyewear.

What Makes Swarovski Glasses Different?

Crystal Accents

The signature detail is crystal. On the frames we stock, the crystals sit at the hinges, where the front of the frame meets the arms. They catch the light when you move, but they’re placed at the side rather than across the front, so the look stays polished rather than flashy.

Swarovski Branding

Each of our Swarovski frames has the Swarovski name on the arms, either in gold lettering or raised lettering, for a subtle designer touch.

Acetate and Metal Frames

Our Swarovski range includes both glossy acetate frames and a polished metal frame, so you can choose between a bolder or a lighter, finer look.

The Swarovski Range at Glasses Store

Here are the Swarovski frames in our current range. Measurements are shown as lens width, bridge width and arm length, in millimetres.

Swarovski SK2015 Burgundy

A full-rim rectangle frame in glossy burgundy acetate, with bold, structured edges. It has baguette-cut crystal accents in gold-tone settings at each hinge, and the Swarovski name in gold lettering on the arms. A rich colour that adds warmth without being loud.

Swarovski SK2002 Black

A full-rim square frame in glossy black acetate, with rounded, panto-inspired edges that soften the square shape. Like the SK2015, it has baguette-cut crystal accents in gold-tone settings at each hinge and gold Swarovski lettering on the arms. A classic choice that goes with everything.

Swarovski SK1019 Gold Demi

A lightweight, semi-rimless metal frame in polished gold, with rounded-square upper rims and an open lower edge. It has a faceted champagne crystal at each hinge, raised Swarovski lettering on the arms and tortoiseshell-pattern acetate tips. A lighter, more delicate look than the acetate styles.

How to Choose the Right Swarovski Frame

Think About Your Face Shape

Rectangle and square frames add structure, which tends to balance softer, rounder features. They’re a good match for round and oval faces. If you have a square face with a strong jawline, a frame with softer edges, like the rounded SK2002 or the semi-rimless SK1019, may sit more naturally. Our guide on what glasses suit my face explains more.

Check the Size

The SK2015 and SK2002 are medium frames, while the SK1019 is a large fit. Compare their measurements with a pair you already own using our guide on finding your glasses size from your current frames.

Acetate or Metal?

Acetate frames feel more substantial and make a stronger statement, and glossy colours like burgundy and black really stand out. A metal frame such as the SK1019 is lighter and finer, for a more understated look.

Semi-Rimless Frames and Stronger Prescriptions

In a semi-rimless frame, part of the lens edge is visible. If you have a stronger prescription, a thinner lens will keep the exposed edge neater. Our guide to high prescription glasses explains your options, or contact our team for advice before you order.

Lens Options for Swarovski Glasses

Every Swarovski frame we stock can be fitted with:

You can also turn your Swarovski frames into prescription sunglasses with a sunglass tint or polarised lenses. For reduced reflections, our MAR anti-reflective coating is included as standard on 1.60, 1.67 and 1.74 index lenses. All our lenses are glazed in-house. See our lenses hub for every option.

Are Swarovski Glasses Worth It?

That depends on what you want from your glasses. Swarovski frames cost more than non-designer styles, and as designer frames they’re not included in our 2 for 1 offer. In return, you get a recognisable brand, crystal details and distinctive finishing touches such as the branded arms.

If those details matter to you, and you’ll wear your glasses every day, a Swarovski frame can be a worthwhile choice. If you’d rather keep costs down, our 2 for 1 offer on non-designer frames gives you two pairs for less.

Looking After Your Swarovski Glasses

Treat crystal-accented frames gently. Avoid household cleaners, which can damage lens coatings, and clean your glasses with lukewarm water, a drop of mild washing-up liquid and a microfibre cloth. Store them in a hard case when you’re not wearing them. Our guide on how to care for your prescription glasses covers this in full.
